Annie LaVerdure, Principal of LVD Media

Annie is a true Northwesterner, raised a proud Spudder from Ridgefield, Washington and a member of the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians. She graduated with honors from the University of Portland and then continued her education at Portland State University, receiving a Masters in Communication. Annie worked in the high-pressure world of marketing and advertising in Seattle before moving back to Oregon and starting her own company, LVD Media. Annie took a short break in 2006 and became the Director of Marketing and Communications for American Heart Association while living in Denver, Colorado. In 2008 Annie and her family moved back to Portland, Oregon, missing the fresh air, big trees and the rain and reopened LVD Media as a full service marketing agency.

Annie is currently the Vice Chair of the Equity Foundation. She is also an active member of the Native American Youth Academy, City Club of Portland, and Oregon Association of Minority Entrepreneurs and was “Indianpreneur” of the Month with the Oregon Native American Business and Entrepreneurial Network. Recently Annie was Willamette Weeks Best People of Portland 2011 and is a graduate of the SBA Native e200 program.

Alison Bates, Director of Programming and Web Development

Alison is a transplant to the northwest from Detroit. Alison is a professional photographer and ran her own business up until her cross country adventure. Alison has always indulged the technical side of her brain as a consultant and software engineer, specializing in database management and dynamic programming languages. While alison still photographs weddings for a local studio, her primary focus is on managing and programming for web development at LVD Media.
Alison is dedicated to organization, efficiency, communication, and continuing education. Alison earned her bachelor’s degree in communications/photography from Grand Valley State University, a certificate in Web design from the College for Creative Studies, and an associate’s degree in business management.
Alison and her partner Nate enjoy entertaining and being entertained by their two Boxers, watching documentaries, wandering the streets of their new home, and exploring the great outdoors.

Cindy Dockter, Sr. Graphic Designer

Cindy has tackled seemingly any project that has involved graphic design in her years in business. Prior to her work with LVD Media, Cindy was a graphic design contractor in the Portland area where she worked with clients including: PIAA, Crimson Trace, Iwata-Medea, HemCon Medical Technologies, Linnea, and various other businesses. She is a graduate of Montana State University in Bozeman, and came to Portland in 1998 to begin her career with A.D. Cook + Associates.Cindy has been a volunteer at The Dougy Center, the National Center for Grieving Children, for over 12 years. She is a Mazamas member and has climbed all over Oregon and Washington. She is also an avid snowboarder and plays soccer year round.
